Learn why are we the best dog trainers in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
About Marj the Dog Trainer. From puppy training to get you started in the right direction, to service dog training to addressing the most stubborn (or scary!) behavioral issues in adult dogs, we use our decades of experience and expertise to help you live in peace with your dog. We not only train your dog ourselves, but teach you as the owner to handle and maintain that training with effective, straightforward, and honest support – we don’t just teach the dog, we give you the keys to lifetime success!
When you work with us, you can rest assured you will always have the skills to get your dog to become a polite canine citizen. We hold ourselves to a very high standard so you know that we will exceed your expectations. We think that having a dog should never be a burden, but instead an opportunity to discover the true potential of the animal-human bond in light of current applied animal behavior science. Dogs learn from a mixture of enforcing boundaries on unwanted behaviors and rewarding desired behaviors, and our training uses both for a well-rounded approach.

Our Ethics Statement
Balanced dog training since 1974.
At Marj the Dog Trainer we are dedicated and passionate about providing professional, ethical, balanced dog training. We are not dog trainers that have watched some videos, had a big box store decide that when I wasn't running the cash register I could train dogs or taken a course online, read a bunch of books (we do however, read a lot of books), and decided to hang up a "Dog Training Done Here" sign.
While everyone has to start somewhere deciding to be a dog trainer is not about "liking" dogs. Don't get me wrong, we all "like" our dogs.
I decided to become a dog trainer since I was 10 years old. I began showing dogs at that age and started training professionally in 1974.
I have been holding training classes non-stop (1 year off when I had cancer for the first time) since.
Providing balanced training can mean the difference between a dog being abandoned to a shelter or staying in his/her home forever.
I take this obligation very seriously. I don't use overly harsh methods but I am not a purely positive trainer either. I am BALANCED.
This applies to our pricing as well. We offer great training at reasonable rates. Dog training to us is not just a "job" if we don't do things right the only "victim" is the dog! We are glad to provide references upon request and HONESTY and INTEGRITY is always assured.
Glad Wags is dedicated to providing individuals with disabilities a canine partner to aid in independent living.
Glad Wags uses only dogs rescued from shelters and rescue groups.
Glad Wags is supported solely by contributions from generous individuals and companies who recognize the amazing difference a Service Dog can make.
Honesty and Integrity is always assured.
